How It Works
|
|
Step 1: Register & Purchase bids on our website
|
|
|
|
Step 2: Choose the Auction: Live Auction, Lowest
Unique Bid Auction or Highest Bid Wins Auction
|
|
|
|
Step 3: Place your bid by using the
bids purchased on your account or by sending a SMS text message to the number indicated
(may not be available in all countries and some operators may have restrictions,
so please check with your mobile phone provider). Unless there is a specified limit
on bids, you may place as many bids as you wish.

|
Live Auction – the goal is to be the last bidder
before the clock reaches 0. For each bid the count down clock adds
a certain amount of seconds, 20, 30, 40 or 60 depending on the auction. Whoever
is the last bidder when the clock reaches 0 gets to purchase the item/service for
the price reached. Please note, when BID button is clicked, it automatically places
a bid on the item and the bid cannot be canceled. You may also use our Auto Bidder,
where you can set the maximum number of bids you are willing to place and the Auto
Bidder will place the bids for you. The user name of the last bidder will be visible.
If you are the one who made the last bid you will be automatically notified.
Auto Bidding – some Live Auctions offer the possibility of using an automated bidding
system and those auctions have been marked accordingly on the bidding page. The
Auto Bidder will place bids for the Participant up to the amount of bids authorized
and paid for by the Participant. The Auto Bidder will attempt to be the last bidder
before the countdown clock reaches zero. The Auto Bidder starts bidding only within
the last 10 seconds of the closing time.

Lowest Unique Bid Auction- If the amount
(where number 1 = 1 cent/pence or $0.01), you are bidding is the lowest unique bid
you can purchase the item/service for the amount of the lowest unique bid. For example:
If there are 4 bids for number 1, 5 bids for 2, 1 bid for 3, 5 bids for 4 and 1
bid for 5, 4 bids for 6, therefore 3 is the Lowest Unique Bid. Number 5 is also
unique but not the lowest. The Participant who has placed a bid on # 3 would get
the right to purchase the item for $0.03 (or £0.03 or €0.03). Please note that you
may enter several Bids at once, either single numbers or range of consecutive numbers.
You will be automatically notified within seconds, either by an instant message,
or if you placed you bid by text message by a reply text message, what the status
of your bid is – lowest unique, not unique or unique but not the lowest. You may
then choose to place another bid. If you have entered the Lowest Unique Bid you
will be automatically notified once the Auction is closed.

Highest Bid Auction - In this auction
one bids the highest amount they are willing to pay for the item/service. The one
who has bid the highest amount will have a chance to purchase the item/service for
the price of the Bid. This is either a Blind (Secret)Auction, in other words, no
one will be able to see the Bids of other Participants, or a Open Auction where
the Highest Bid is displayed. A low non-refundable Entry Fee will be charged to
participate. There usually is a reserve, which must be met for the item to be sold,
and if the reserve is not met the auctioneer can either extend the auction time
or cancel the auction. If the auction is canceled all bids and entry fees will be
refunded. If you are the highest bidder you will be automatically notified.
|
|
|
|
Step 4: Winning Bidder - After the auction
has closed the auctioneer will verify all bids and payments for bids and determine
the Winning Bidder. The official notification by email or text message or both will
be sent within 72 hours along with an invoice for the amount due. The invoice will
include any delivery fees. VAT/Sales tax is included in the price, but any Custom
Duty/taxes/fees are payable by the recipient. The Winning Bidder will have 14 days
to pay the invoice and when the payment has been received by us the product/service
certificate will be mailed by UPS or similar traceable service, immediately but
latest within 30days. If we do not hear or receive payment from the Winning Bidder
within 14 days, we may pass the second place bidder the opportunity to purchase
the item.
